Edmund believes in setting himself up for success. As an experienced pilot, he believes in giving back to his flying community and even more so to younger pilots as they maneuver through their flying career.  There is no better way to do this than being a flight instructor but you will need an employer who offers the opportunity. Jetstar ticked every box.

Being an Air Force pilot isn’t easy let alone a commercial pilot. It involves a lot of instructional guidance and leadership in getting them onboard. Edmund had learned that from experience and from some inspiring leaders. Now it was his turn to pass on advice and make sure they were headed in the right direction. It was quite a responsibility, but somehow taking people under your wing at Jetstar felt like a natural thing to do.

The perfect balance

It had only been a few hours since Edmund landed his A320 after the overnight stop, but he still had plenty of time to enjoy a beautiful Osaka afternoon.

Finding a balance between lifestyle and flying had always been important. Covering multiple sectors each day made life more interesting. Even though Edmund was given the challenge of being a Flight Instructor, he is able to manage it well with Jetstar’s support. It was just another benefit of an airline that gave you opportunities to develop your career.

As the sun set over Osaka, Edmund found himself satisfied. Satisfied with the phase of life he is in.
