Our two-year program offers graduates a diverse, exciting and supportive environment designed to develop both your technical and behavioural capabilities, and prepare you to excel as the future leaders of the Jetstar business.

We offer two streams as part of the Graduate program. The Generalist stream offers the opportunity to have exposure to all the parts of our organization, which can include areas such as:

Our new Finance and Analytics stream may have you spending time in our Finance function, as well as using your analytical skills in other functions within the business such as IT, Networks or Digital to name a few.

Both streams consist of four diverse rotations, and in each rotation you'll be given a range of opportunities which could find you leading your own projects, collaborating with different areas of the business, presenting to senior stakeholders, performing analysis and executing new initiatives, as well as getting involved in community and inclusion projects. There may also be some domestic and international travel involved throughout the program.

The recruitment process

1. Online application

You’ll need to submit an online application form, providing information on education, work experience and preferences, and attaching some key documents:

• A cover letter
• A copy of your current resume
• A copy of your current academic transcript

2. Predictive Hire Assessment

If your online application is successful, you may be invited to participate our Predictive Hire online assessment, which will ask you a range of text and multiple choice questions about how you like to work and what you are passionate about.

3. Phone Interview

The next round will be a comprehensive chat with someone from our Resourcing Team over the phone. Here we will discuss the details of your studies along with any experience you might have, and also cover your motivations for wanting to join our Graduate Program.

4. Assessment day

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an assessment day in Melbourne. This will be your first opportunity to meet some of our team, including representatives from our recruitment and people teams and some of our current Jetstar graduates, as well as senior managers and leaders in the business. You’ll participate in both group and individual activities, and have the opportunity to understand more about Jetstar and our culture and values.

5. Final interviews

The final stage of our recruitment process is a behavioural interview and presentation with two Jetstar representatives at Jetstar Head Office in Melbourne. Here you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions that you have about Jetstar, the role and the graduate program and get a look at our head office!

Eligibility

To be eligible to apply, you must:

• be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident of Australia
• have completed a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree
• be available to commence employment with Jetstar Airways in February 2020
• be able to attend key stages of the recruitment process, in person, if requested
